Current position: PhD candidate in the Germain Lab at UBC
I am a population and community ecologist who investigates the underlying ecological mechanisms that dictate how communities, populations, and individuals respond to variable conditions.
I grew up in the middle of the Canadian prairies, where I fell in love with the beauty and complexity of nature. My work is inspired by the time I spend in the outdoors, exploring extreme environments and testing my own limits.
I have a passion for teaching and community outreach and enjoy finding new and creative ways to engage young people in ecology and science more broadly. In my spare time, I enjoy making things with my hands, and most recently have been expressing myself by knitting and sewing.
